Quirky mood candles and fantastically decorated cookies – the ante is up for the gift market this year!

As well as Marlborough Communities Market out in the High Street and some of our lovely Marlborough shops open late on Thursday 29 November 3-8pm, the town hall is hosting our great Christmas gift market, with many stalls showcasing very talented locals.

There’ll be Christmas crafts for Christmas trees and more from Lulu Flowers (from Newbury) and MaudandBean (from Devizes). Smack your lips at the stunning decorated cookies by Mel’s Decorative Delights.

Roelofs Rubens (from Newbury) will be bringing their beautiful handmade tiles, tableware and decorations (take a look at their website – it’s a lot of fun!).

Lots of handmade wood crafts from both The Treen Workshop (from Royal Wootton Bassett), who make everyday utensils, and Mike Bradley (from Faringdon) who crafts bespoke items (we particularly like his beautiful table).

Also for the home, Wil and Jinx offer handmade quirky ‘mood’ candles.

Forget harsh propriety shop brands, stock up on handmade soaps courtesy of Soap Bar Company.

Jane and Porscha Edwards (from Upavon) will be selling one-off pieces of silver jewellery and floral art.

We’re pleased to host artist Rachel Sargent, with atmospheric landscape paintings, prints and cards, Sandra Young‘s (from Pewsey) beautiful glass sculptures (we’re a sucker for her dragons) and Lily Buckley’s (from Devizes) paintings and designs aimed at children.

And let’s not forget cold weather is around the corner so buy toasty (and ethical) thermal layers from Wild Stripes, and head and neck warmers from Fox Hat.

And if you are in need of refreshment after all that, our lovely local Sarah Hicks will be serving up tea, cakes and mulled wine, and The Sausage and Mash Company will be…well we’ll let you work out what they offer!
